    1. Holiday Accommodation

    Houses, apartments, flats, rooms etc. are listed by proprietors with the local Southern Staying linked agents. Together the agents, proprietors and Southern Staying have implemented a unique infrastructure to provide holiday accommodation at a fraction of the price that holiday makers would normally be charged at resorts.


    Fees are calculated as per the following categories:
    1. High Season [10 December to 15 January as well as Easter Weekends]
    2. Low Season [15 May to 30 August]
    3. Mid Season [Any day with the exception of those stated above]


    The tariffs per night vary, from expensive to affordable, due to the vast variety available.


    All accommodation is self-catering or semi self-catering. With semi self-catering we mean that food baskets can be arranged as well as all other services that would normally classify the accommodation as a guest house.

    2. STAY NOW, PAY LATER

    As part of our ongoing service commitment to proprietors and renters Southern Staying is proud to announce our Stay Now, Pay Later facility. Holiday makers can now book their holidays, and get extra cash while their bill is spread over a period of 12 or 18 months at affordable interest rates.

    3. Breakfast & Picnic Baskets

    We prepare for a minimum of 2 people. If you want breakfast at home or if you want to go out into nature and picnic for the day, or need catering for much larger groups, corporate and social events then our food baskets are the easy way out. We deliver. So why cook? Please book in advance.

    4. Bedding

    We are living in times where most of our clients prefer to bring their own bedding, especially those who travel by car and that reside in South Africa. That is why our prices are quoted mostly, there are exceptions, without bedding. However, day visitors, overseas visitors and for that matter any visitor can rest assure that whenever the need arises we are more than willing and able to provide bedding. It will be at an extra fee. Please book bedding, if required, well in advance. Ask your agent for more information.

    5. Washing

    Basically our clients have two options. The one is simply to make use of the services offered by the local Southern Staying Agent or to request the local agent to provide the services of a house assistant to do the washing on the premises. However, most clients prefer to take their clothing to the local Laundromat. It is quick and easy. Whatever option you prefer, please make sure that your washing is properly marked and bagged. Ask your agent for more information on fees etc.

    6. Car Wash

    A local car wash is available and if not, someone will be provided to wash your car at a suitable place. It will come at a fee, but it is certainly no problem at all. Please contact your agent for more information.


    Please Note:

    Cars my only be parked in parking areas and garages, not on grass. No oil leaking cars may be parked on paving and or driveways.

    No cars and or equipment may be washed on any occupied premises.

    Please respect this so that those that come after you may have the same enjoyment than you had.

    7. Cleaning Services

    Mostly accommodation is offered without ongoing cleaning services and is same encumbered upon the occupants to maintain the inside of the premises. There are exceptions like in the case of guest houses etc. Please ask your agent for more information.


    However, cleaning services are available at a fee and can be arranged with your local agent whenever the need arises.


    Spend your days bathing in the sun, not sweating in the house. Enjoy the fantastic scenery and take winning photos.

    8. Garden Services

    Garden services are provided by the agents to the proprietors. The cost is covered by the proprietors. So there is no need for our holiday makers to worry.


    Garden services are available to renters free of charge. If there is anything that needs to be maintained then please bring it immediately to the attention of your agent. This may especially be of relevance to clients staying for longer periods.


    However, if you need your fireplace to be cleaned and or anything extraordinary to be cleaned then please contact your local agent in advance. It will be at a fee.

    9. Restaurants

    From seafood to pizza, bacon and eggs to steak, Sunday lunch, take-aways ... The area offer excellent restaurants. Brochures are available. Please ask you agent for more information.


    The options are simply to big to discuss on this page. But do not forget our picnic and breakfast baskets. It is simply a winner.
