Unsung Heroes in the Tourism Industry
Thank you to the unsung heroes of the Tourism industry.
God bless all the heroes. Too often the strong, silent teams are silent only because they do not know what to say, or if it is appropriate to say something. But you don't raise heroes, you raise sons. And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.
The Tourism industry is like one of our sons. They are always there; always ready to assist, always eager to provide the best accommodation, to serve and to serve, no matter your mood and or circumstances. They are not doctors neither judges nor politicians, but they work hard and give their best so that you can have the best.
Travelling is like flirting with life. It’s like saying, "I would stay and love you, but I have to go; this is just my station.” You move on and leave them behind only to realize you cannot go back, because there is so many to see.
The Tourism industry is destroyed worldwide and I am not only talking about luxury hotels and guesthouses. No, perhaps the saddest of all is the vacation home owners, their staff and agents. Businesses are closed. No travelling is allowed. Yet, they are quietly just going on and sitting it out. Families are suffering. It’s not easy, but they hang on and stay proud; waiting for that moment to serve the world again. That one moment in time. Give them that moment in time; now. When they are more than they thought they could be. When all of their dreams are a heartbeat away. And their answers are all up to us.
In this one moment in time we say thank you. Thank you to the Tourism industry. You are our HEROES!
